HARBOUR VIEW SEASONAL NEWS - SPRING 2012 - 14/05/2012

Drought conditions, a hosepipe ban in force in the next county and what happens, rain falling for days on end, or so it seems! Still, the Harbour View grounds do need water following the dry winter but fortunately the trees do not seem to be suffering yet. Refuge for Slowworms - 02/05/2012

Harbour View is being considered, by an ecological consultancy, as a site to accept Slowworms that need to be re-homed. This threatened but quintessentially English species is protected by law but has seen its habitat disappear in recent years. The environment that is evolving at Harbour View includes meadow grass and light undergrowth which is ideal for Slowworms and importantly is not patrolled by many cats. Read more >>

Summer Picnic at Harbour View - 01/05/2012

We are delighted to announce the date for this year's picnic at Harbour View. Those who joined us last year will remember how fortunate we were with the beautiful weather we enjoyed; this year we will keep our fingers crossed for more of the same but the timing will be a little earlier and the date closer to mid-Summer as it was a little chilly last year as the evening drew to its close.
