Couple meet at Hospice Bereavement Group
How nice it is to read a good-news story for a change. The Bournemouth Echo reported earlier this week on the marriage of Valerie and John Flude.
What is unusual about this relationship is that Valerie and John were both previously widowed and met each other at the bereavement support group run by Forest Holme Hospice in Poole, where both of their late partners had died. A member of the nursing staff is quoted as saying this is not an isolated event and I can back this up with at least one very similar example in my professional experience. What a great example this couple are to the hope that there can be light at the end of even the darkest tunnel.
